Hello.
After successfully installing Arch Linux on my PC i whanted to install a de so i can actually use it. I chose hyprland and installed it. But now after rebooting, i waited for like 5 min but nothing showed up in tty2. So i switched into tty3 and checked the status of sddm with systemctl status sddm because i was suspecting it. There i saw following:
sddm[4881: Auth: sddm-helper exited with 127
sddm[488]: Greeter stopped. SDDM: :Auth: :HelperExitStatus (127)
Does somebody know how to fix this? I also tried going into Hyprland directly via tty3 and it worked perfectly fine.

This lacks a bunch of context, post the full unaltered
sudo journalctl -b

Did you configure a SDDM theme? Which?

Solved. I was missing some configuration for my Nvidia 4060

Hi, I hope 4 month is not enough for ”necrobumping”. But is it possible to share what was this configuration?
I have the same issue with sddm-helper with properly installed drivers and no errors.

You're probably lacking some Qt5 dependencies if your SDDM theme isn't breeze.
See eg. the dependencies in https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/sddm-sugar-candy-git
Edit: if this only just happened you might however be facing what's likely a Qt 6.8 bug, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=300275
