Edit2: looks like an issue with ddcutil, since the problem can be reproduced after running a simple
ddcutil detectSee https://github.com/rockowitz/ddcutil/issues/429.
Edit: The cause of the issue is an upstream commit in plasma powerdevil: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488373
Hi, since several months ago my laptop has not been able to enter S0ix sleep.
The output of the S0ixSelftestTool does not seem to indicate any obvious problems: https://0x0.st/XbCk.txt.
I tested using the arch iso from 2024/06/01, and verified that I am able to enter S0ix sleep by running
systemctl suspendand verifying that
cat /sys/kernel/debug/pmc_core/slp_s0_residency_usecgives a positive output.
This seems to indicate that
This is not a problem with BIOS version or BIOS settings
This is probably an issue with my configuration/installed packages
Some other pieces of relevant information:
I use the default kernel shipped by arch linux
I have observed this problem for several months (not sure when it started), so this is probably not caused by an update between 2024/06/01 and now.
I tried disabling the proprietary nvidia kernel modules, and I could still reproduce the problem. So the problem is probably not related to nvidia drivers.
However, I am not been able pin point the exact problem.
Any further advice on how to further debug this problem would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
