HDMI sound not working

I am using Arch Linux (lastest) on a Dell XPS 9520. After the initial installation, my audio works on both HDMI and internal speaker. After a couple weeks, my HDMI audio stopped working. My internal speaker still works when selected, but I have to randomly select profiles until it starts working. When it works, it's always on "Analog Stereo Duplex". This does not work for my HDMI audio. When selecting HDMI as the audio output (through gnome) the audio does not play on the HDMI device's speakers but shows as playing, timestamp moves forward, etc. I use pulseaudio, and installed with archinstall.

How can I make my audio over HDMI work?

I can provide logs if necessary, no idea which to check as of right now.

Stop doing that: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Genera … es#Bumping

There's no information here, what's your graphics card, are you sure you even have speakers in your monitor/that one isn't muted?
