Fn keys not working properly after suspend

I use a shortcut in my wm to suspend using "systemctl suspend". The laptop suspends just fine and wakes up normally but after the fn keys are messed up (it is as if fn lock is on). I have tried to turn off fn lock but it does not work. It only goes back to normal after a reboot. Any suggestions as to what is going on?  If you want me to provide any logs, configs or more info let me know. Thank you in advance!

Re: Fn keys not working properly after suspend

This kind of thing is not uncommon; I have to set my keybinds to reapply after suspend with a service. It being your Fn keys means it's probably not as straightforward, some ACPI issue, which I don't know how to help with. You would need something that interacts directly with your laptop's firmware if that were the case. Those are specific to the brand and often the model of your laptop.

Just in case it's an easier fix than that, have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the keyboard device and seeing if that does anything? Or plugging in an external keyboard?

Re: Fn keys not working properly after suspend

@mesaprotector, how do you configure your keyboard layout?

@andreaschar15, what laptom model is this specifically and did you try to operate the fnlock with the laptops hardware switch or the platform module (see eg. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Lenovo … ction_keys for some lenovo models)?
