I've been having strange behaviour from my Bluetooth game controller. I'm not sure if it's an issue with the controller or with the setup on my PC, but I figured I may as well ask here first. I had to re-pair it after a motherboard upgrade, and it seemed to work fine for fifteen or twenty minutes, but now it's gotten itself into a completely unusable state.
I'm using bluetoothctl to manage the connection. If I unpair it with 'remove [address]', put the controller in pairing mode, and then scan, it appears like I would expect. When I run 'pair [address]', it pairs successfully, and then almost immediately disconnects. I can send a 'connect [address]' command and then it reconnects, but after four seconds the controller starts displaying its no-device-connected light signal and ceases output, and after a few more seconds it puts itself to sleep and the PC reports that it's disconnected. If I wake it up again, it connects, waits four seconds, stops sending signals, and then puts itself to sleep again. The end result is that I cannot use it for anything, because when you wake it up it sends output for four seconds before disconnecting and then putting itself back to sleep.
This is a Gulikit Zen Pro controller.
