Kernel Oops When Plugged Into LG 32GS95UE-B via DisplayPort Starting X
Hello,
I am currently trying to diagnose a problem with my system that I have been fighting for the past couple of weeks.
Problem:
When my graphics card is plugged into an LG-32GS95UE-B via DisplayPort, and I try to start an X Session, the kernel has an Oops and the system locks up. I am only able to force restart in order to get back into it. I still have access to the machine via SSH but the physical system is unresponsive.
Things I've Tried:
Reading the documentation for the X Server and building a custom X config file: No Success
Plugging into the monitor via HDMI: This works however the monitor is a 4K 240Hz and HDMI 2.0 is only capable of 4K 120Hz so this solution is not ideal.
Switching to Wayland: I tried using GDM as the Display Manager which works, however anytime it calls Xorg-Xwayland, the same kernal oops and crash occurs.
Booting from a bootable USB into Manjaro:Ran into the Exact Same issue as I did on my Arch Setup (Trying to see if I was missing something and still thinking at this point that it was a problem with my config, now I'm leaning towards it being a bug.)
Unplugging the monitor from the display port, starting the Display Manager, and plugging the monitor back in:This starts the X server and there are no issues with the system unless i stop the X server and try to start it again.
Goal: Figure out what I'm doing wrong or figure out how to report this bug to the correct maintainer

Did this ever work? Also is the issue also present in the latest release candidate for the mainline kernel?
