mplayer seek issue. seeks to much than set..

I have always had this problem with mplayer.. It always seeks more than it should. I have tried all different configs in input.conf but success.

here is what i set for right and left:
RIGHT seek +2; repeat=1; delay=2
LEFT seek -2

the repeat=1 or delay=2 dont make no difference.. I dont know what they are for but when setting repeat to 1 or 10 gives same result..

Anyone else with the same problem?

Mplayer seeks only to keyframes. If the video contains a keyframe every 10 seconds or so, it will jump to the next keyframe even if the config file tells to seek only 2 seconds.

It might not be what you're looking for, but you can advance frame-by-frame by hitting "." repeatedly.
