So recently I booted into my Arch partition after a long time, and when I ran a system upgrade using:
sudo pacman -Syu
The system throws an error stating:
error: failed to commit transaction (could not find or read package)
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
I haven't tried configuring the issue since this error wasn't even stated in the ArchWiki Troubleshooting for pacman, and no other forums have this issue posted anywhere.

I have had the same thing since 6 July, however without seeing any error messages.
When I issue 'pacman -Syu', I get: "core is updated", "extra is updated", "All is done."
(rest of earlier text deleted)
Edit:
So, I went and updated my mirrorlist and everything was back in working order.
Sorry for the nuisance.

The other content was just a list of packages to be updated in the system by running sudo pacman -Syu. I didn't think they were relevant to show the error so I didn't add it. But I recently reinstalled arch and now while I'm trying to install plasma kde, the same error pops out.

Not thinking (past tense) that it was relevant is one thing - but you've been told it's not only relevant, but needed. If you want help, post the requested information.

My sincere apologies, but I think I've resolved the issue by updating me mirrorlist as stated by the previous replies.
