Xorg vs XGL resources

I'm using the default XFCE installation in Arch and I used to use Xorg. I saw on conky that with this setup my RAM was 86-90% full.
Then I installed Xgl and tried it.... the RAM level never passes 75%.

I have 1G of RAM and AMD Athlon 64b 3200+.

So... did someone else make this comparison and if yes what were the results?

Re: Xorg vs XGL resources

Conky is reporting incorrectly.

A majority of that ram is used by cache. It just seems that Xgl caches less. There is no disadvantage in Xorg caching more, as the cache is erased when ram is needed, at zero cost.
