Hello
When I try to switch windows with Alt+tab shortcut, every time I press Tab it triggers a tabulation in the current window while still pressing Alt. It is a bit annoying.
For instance, I have multiple opened windows, I'm coding on VSCode and I need to press (Alt+)tab multiples times to target a specific windows, it adds a lot of tabulation in my VSCode window. When I go back to my VSCode window, I have to delete them all...
I updated/upgraded my machine recently but the problem appeared in a previous versions (can't remember which version specifically triggered that issue)
I can't find any solution, don't where to look exactly to debug
Thanks for reading me

X11 or Wayland? Can't say I've noticed anything of the sort, but might give it a test. Random assumption, potentially some interaction with Xwayland and shortcuts.

I can confirm this behavior with my system. (KDE Plasma Wayland)
The problem is limited to VS Code though. I did not have problems with other Apps. And only when I start alt-tabbing in vs code. So I guess this is something you could report to the vs code developers.

Thanks I'm not alone ! But I still think it related to Arch. The bug appears obviously in vscode because you can see the added tabulations but in other applications (such as Discord) when alt-tabbing you can see the "autofocus" (don't know if its the right word here) moving

Can you name some more applications? I remember trying discord, but it had no effect. I run the discord flatpak. What discord client are you using?
Maybe it is related to the electron framework.

Trilium Notes, VK Teams as others example. Has the issue with VS Code. Same for me, KDE Plasma Wayland
Another example is multiple clipboard (Win + V, in my case).
Not always, but sometime when I run the multiple clipboard -> moving using arrows keys (up, down) -> then press enter, similar actions happens on the VSCode... Maybe it related to the same alt+tab bug.

Solution:
Was resolved by selecting Never for "Allow legacy X11 apps to read keystrokes typed in all apps" in "Security & Privacy" -> "Application Permissions" -> "Legacy X11 App Support".
