Wasn't really sure where to post this one, but here goes.
Recently I've noticed my Arch KDE (both Wayland & X11) is killing any applications that I have on an external monitor under the following scenario:
- App X open on external monitor connected via HDMI, app Y open on laptop screen
- Close laptop lid and enter sleep
- Disconnect HDMI cable
- Open lid
- Login
- App X is just gone, no trace, app Y still running fine
Previously both apps would have still continued running, app X would have been moved to the laptop screen.
I'm not sure why this has started happening but it's really annoying. I've looked through all the power/display settings and can't see anything that may be relevant.
Has anyone seen or heard of this before? I've tried reinstalling display drivers etc
