Warnings in system log after updating to 6.10
What I have
Kernel 6.10.0-arch1-2
Boot params (perhaps useful, I didn't change them between updates): ibt=off intel_iommu=on vfio-pci.ids=10de:28e1,10de:22be zswap.enabled=0
KDE Plasma 6.1.3 using Wayland
i5-12450h with ucode
RTX4050 using proprietary driversI ran "pacman -Syu" today and updated to kernel 6.10.arch1-2 (from 6.9.10.arch1-1) and nvidia driver version 555.58.02-8 (from 555.58.02-4). A few seconds after boot, a couple of crash(?) traces show up in the system log related to nv_queue.
It doesn't seem to matter if I'm logged in or not as the warnings appear both when I'm waiting to log in through SDDM and when I'm at the plasma desktop.
The GPU works just fine. No problems or warnings appear in the log afterwards and the system in general operates as usual.
This isn't really a problem for me but it might be a bug that leads to system instability? (nvidia drivers already cause my system to hang on shutdown occasionally so I wouldn't be surprised if it is indeed a bug)

I have the same problem:
My system is a Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with microcode and Nvidia RTX3060.
I am using Gnome, so it's not a KDE problem.

I also got these errors on an ASUS TUF Gaming A16 FA607PV_FA607PV, which has ryzen9 7940hx and nvidia rtx 4060 laptop gpu. I run MATE with Xorg, so it's not related with DE or X/Wayland. However, it didn't caused trouble to me(but I'm not sure whether the random kernel panic is connected with it, which left me with a blinking caps lock and freezed screen). Maybe we can simply blacklist this module (It didn't appeared on `lsmod` so nvidia drivers seem to work well without it. :-)

Found the way to fix it:
Simply install the nvidia-open package instead of the nvidia package...
No, I'm not joking, a perfect way to solve a problem of a product is to use its alternatives :-)
And, although nv_queue crashing seems harmless, it may cause random kernal panics, especially when you are useing programs that uses the nvidia gpu(for example, when you are using ollama or training llama 3.1 8B with unsloth)
I've experienced some strange kernel panics on my poor ASUS tuf gaming a16 laptop, and I thought that it's the fault of ram previously... However, after installing the nvidia-open package, I haven't experienced another panic, and the crash logs disappeared(even I'm training the model)
For the reason of this behaviour, maybe nv_queue is a process that manage the tasks on the gpu(I guess, simply by the name. And the source code indicates that it's a a first-in, first-out queue of functions), and as the nv_queue kernel process in the nvidia close-source driver has bugs, it's running on the kernel mode and may corrupt the memory. Once the nv_queue is invoked by another process or task, it may do some strange behaviours. In some lucky situations, it may have no affect on your system...but in other unlucklier situations....it'll cause sigsegv and sigill to processes(which I experienced in chromium), and may even lead to kernel panic...
(All the above lines are simple guesses without any proofs... )
However, no more annoying kernel panics appear after replacing the nvidia package with nvidia-open, and the nv_queue crashes disappeared... So if your gpu is supported by nvidia-open, then change to it.
(Again, an example showing the unrealibity of the close-source drivers...)
P.S. the NVIDIA page in ArchWiki is a bit outdated, as the AMD iGPU problem is already fixed, as mentioned in https://github.com/NVIDIA/open-gpu-kern … 2202482755 And I've already removed these lines in the wiki. (But the issue state is still Open...Strange!)

Sitll got this problem after a few restarts with nvidia-open....but the crashes are gone.
Seems that they are not related.

Discovered this in journal log on boot.
Lenovo Legion, AMD Ryzen 7 6800H (inbuilt GPU), NVidia 3070.
I'm using integrate GPU.
Looking back in the journal, the problem started when I upgraded to Linux 6.10.3-arch1-2. Was not present with 6.9.10-arch1-1 that I was running before that.

I booted on linux-lts kernel with the nvidia-lts. I see no error.
I installed nvidia-open-dkms and booted on linux-lts and I still see no error.
I booted on linux kernel with the new nvidia-open-dkms the error is here again.
I am thinking this error is because something from the kernel changed and the Nvidia module was not updated to address this issue on kernel 6.10.
the workaround is to use linux-lts temporarily.
