Halo Infinite - Removed by EasyAntiCheat

I installed Steam on Arch Linux via Flatpak. I proceeded to install Halo Infinite with Steam's recommended configuration - no modification on my part. For the last few days it ran fine. However, in my first session after a small update, while a ranked match was being loaded, I got a message saying that I was "automatically removed by EasyAntiCheat" and that I should check my settings. I was surprised and turned off the game. When I logged back in, I could play matches normally and I was not given any subsequent warnings. I was about to purchase the battle pass, but that scary warning had me think twice about that. Is there a chance that I could be permanently banned later on for playing the game on an operating system it was not meant to run on? Or was it a one time malfunction and something to shake off?
