As the title denotes, "hv_fcopy_daemon.service" is missing from hyperv package.
I can't copy from Host OS to Guest OS.
Is there any reason from the missing piece?
Do I need something else?
Is there any alternative?

There is a usr/bin/hv_fcopy_uio_daemon in the package, have you tried with that ?
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Looks like this service does not run.
I am trying to install and get Arch up and running on Hyper-V too and tried to enable it but it does not show up the list of services that are running. No wonder I can't copy to the clipboard (I posted a previous message here recently on failing to get LightDM to log me in).
I try to just start it using systemctl but it never starts.
Only the kvp and vss are enabled and run on bootup.
In the /dev/vmbus folder there are hv_kvp and hv_vss files but no hv_fcopy.
The status for the service is (dead) and it looks like it has to do with that path not existing being met.

I did and it was of no help.

Exactly

Seems the hv_fcopy_daemon.service was removed when the package was bumped to 6.10 - https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … 528fe002fd
Looks like the wiki needs updating.
See https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … -/issues/3
