FortiClient VPN with Microsoft Authenticator

Hi,

I'm trying to use my university VPN from my computer with Arch linux. They suggest forticlient VPN (all good that far) however after setting my credentials it should send microsoft authenticator a notification and this part it seams to not be working. I'm using the GUI since I'm quite a Newbie anything VPN related. I'm using tilling wayland compositor I'm afraid that might be keeping some microsoft pop up from showing which would prompt me to select my microsoft account.

Any suggestions of workarounds?
