This is my first post, but I have been using Arch Linux to set up a variety of different OS partitions including a gnome and a plasma and most recently ventured into using weston.
I have set up a basic environment using weston as a wayland compositor with launches into weston's own terminal, dolphin, kate, gparted and firefox (all installed directly with pacman). All are working satisfactorily with the mouse apart from firefox. In firefox the mouse can operate on checkboxes quite happily and can be used to show dropdown menus. On moving the mouse over the menu the appropriate menu line becomes highlighted but mouse clicks (of any button) simply close the menu down again. I can use the keyboard to shift up and down the menu and the enter key to bring up the appropriate item, so I have been able to configure firefox to my usual settings. However, the limited mouse use is annoying and it seems a very strange problem.
Does anyone have any idea what may be going on here? [I have checked the firefox configuration which confirms that it is using wayland]. As I said above the mouse is fine in kate, dolphin and gparted
