Suspended audio sinks on boot

After a fresh installation (via archinstall, for my first time), I have no sound on boot, unless I open volume settings and click around here,
like this.

Here's some relevant info:

~$ sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*

                     USER PID ACCESS COMMAND
/dev/snd/controlC0: user 774 F.... pipewire
                     user 776 F.... wireplumber
/dev/snd/seq: user 774 F.... pipewire

 ~$ pactl list short sinks
54 alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3-platform-skl_hda_dsp_generic.HiFi__HDMI3__sink PipeWire s24-32le 2ch 48000Hz SUSPENDED
55 alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3-platform-skl_hda_dsp_generic.HiFi__HDMI2__sink PipeWire s24-32le 2ch 48000Hz SUSPENDED
56 alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3-platform-skl_hda_dsp_generic.HiFi__HDMI1__sink PipeWire s24-32le 2ch 48000Hz SUSPENDED
57 alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3-platform-skl_hda_dsp_generic.HiFi__Speaker__sink PipeWire s32le 2ch 48000Hz SUSPENDED

If I do the clicking thing, sink 57 becomes active (or rather, the IDs (or whatever these numbers) are change) and I have sound until the next reboot.

I tried restarting pw-pulse, the sink becomes active but still no sound. Notice that in this case ID 57 did not change to 484 as above:

~$ systemctl --user restart pipewire-pulse
~$ pactl list short sinks
