fiefox problem

every time when i download with firefox a file with 240 kbits/s the browser cannot open any site and says that the connection is destroyed. But the file download , if the file is fully downloaded , the browser can find sites and so on.

Whats wrong ? My network connection has 100 MBits/s , the router a direct connection with 2048Kbits/s to the internet. yikes

Re: fiefox problem

well i may be wrong, but.
it sounds like your net connection is capped at 240 kb/s ..
does it download higher than that, constantly?

Re: fiefox problem

then use opera... why would it be a problem ?
maybe it'll provide better load balance..
i personally don't know why this issue exists, my system load balances perfectly fine.
obviously if i'm downloading torrents and the max out my connection @ 243-250 kb/s then all else effectively become zombies.
but no one app does this here.
:S btw, have you messed with the about:config settings ?
i.e changed max connections per host.
that's about one of the only related issues i can think of as to why the connection is being maxed out o one host.
