MeoW future

At the moment I look at KDE4 and my idea is to change MeoWs desktop envoirement in 3.x to KDE 4. What do you mean about that ? Shoul'd we include KDE 4 to MeoW ?

I saw many ideas at kde-look.org and some development-screens and they looks very great. I hope they will be successfull with the new redesign of the look in KDE wink

ps : A advantage is that we will have QT. Qt is used by many applications and gtk is easier to use in KDE like to use and configure QT look in gnome (GTK).

Re: MeoW future

I personally find kde is easier to use as an upfront user, so if you are deciding between gnome and kde, I suggest kde for MeoW

Re: MeoW future

No KDE 3 is too bad ( in look ) , but I have a look on KDE , the new parts like phonon and the HAL are very good.

I saw some devel and idea screens from the developer and KDE 4 sounds very good, because that I think about a change.
At the moment I can't make my KDE desktop looks good , I saw some screens , but never I can clone this.

MeoW is not minimalistic , we are a desktop linux (because that 400MB iso ).
--> often the users compare it to slax , because slax is meows big (small) brother.

Re: MeoW future

Perhaps it's just me, but am I the only one wondering why the said Linux derivative doesn't have their own forums to discuss such a topic? At least I'm confident in saying that this has nothing to do with Newbie Corner.

Re: MeoW future

I've moved it to user contributions where we usually talk about such projects.
