i Pacman -Syu and now i cant boot..

i Pacman -Syu and now i cant boot.. it had already happened before! and now when i boot i get this:
no filesystems could mount root, tried:
kernel panic - not syncing:VFS:unable to mount root fs on unknown block (0,0)
i dont know if i had to chage something i didnt, but root fs is on (0,3)
if it helps, i installed with 0.7.2 cd

you most liekly need to change
initrd.img to kernel26.img

if you are using grub, u can press `e` at the boot menu, and edit the lines....
u should be able to do the same for lilo, but i don't know how.

If you use lilo (as opposed to grub) you must issue the "lilo" command after you run updates or it will damage your boot loader and prevent you from booting again.
There is a posting in the wiki (Rescue a system with a broken boot loader) about recovering from a bad boot loader that may help you.

Edit: Let me explain better. If you do a kernel update, and you use lilo, you have to run (as root) lilo.
        My previous post sounds like you have to run lilo every time you run updates and that's not the case.
