[gnome-unstable] Not able to update since 2 days (pacman 7.0):

:: installing pacman (7.0.0.r3.g7736133-1) breaks dependency 'pacman<6.2' required by libpamac-aur

Only Miffe (aur) works if we turn off other repos. Deleting pamac-aur did not help.

$ pacman -Q pacman
pacman 6.1.0-3

AUR helpers are unsupported.

Mod note: moving to AUR Issues.

Try removing libpamac-aur , then re-run pacman -Syu .

Note that when pacman switches to a new major version all aur helpers breaking is expected behaviour. (Sometimes it takes the authors of the aur helpers weeks to make the necessary adjustments) .

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Re: [gnome-unstable] Not able to update since 2 days (pacman 7.0):

Thanks for replying!

Reverting to Gnome 46 worked (-Syuu). Re-enabling core and testing repos worked too after removing pamac properly:

$ pacman -Rns libpamac-aur
checking dependencies...

Packages (1) libpamac-aur-11.6.4-1

...starting full system upgrade...
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...

Sept 11th:

Packages (12) android-tools-35.0.2-3  appstream-glib-0.8.3-2  curl-8.10.0-1  fmt-11.0.2-1  grub-2:2.12-3  gts-0.7.6.121130-3
              libphonenumber-1:8.13.45-1  pacman-7.0.0.r3.g7736133-1  pacman-contrib-1.10.6-2  protobuf-28.0-2  python-3.12.6-1
              sudo-1.9.16-1

It is no longer possible to git-clone pamac-aur url with the latest pacman version. Pamac needs attention.

$ pacman -Q pacman
pacman 7.0.0.r3.g7736133-1
pacman -Q gnome-shell mutter nautilus
gnome-shell 1:47rc-1
mutter 47rc-2
nautilus 47rc-1

Since mutter rc-2 patch, Nautilus is not showing other locations. To access file system, Places Status Indicator must be enabled in extensions (computer). The rest is ok.
