Yay will not work.

It gives this error code

[max@dingus ~]$ yay chrome
yay: error while loading shared libraries: libalpm.so.14: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

use git clone and makepkg to rebuild yay, the same way you installed it in the first place. That's assuming you're using vanilla arch and not some derivative that already has yay installed by default.

also: use "yay" to build from source - don't use pre-packaged "yay-bin"
