AUR files failing validity check

-> Found tidal-hifi.desktop
  -> Found icon.png
==> Validating source files with md5sums...
    tidal-hifi-5.16.0.AppImage ... Passed
    tidal-hifi.desktop ... FAILED
    icon.png ... Passed
==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!

Package maintainer could not duplicate. In just installed the system yesterday, so I haven't really had time to screw anything up. Any help?

Re: AUR files failing validity check

It looks like the maintainer made some changes to the desktop file, but didn't actually include them in the commit: https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/ … c5615d86a6

They'll need to commit the changes and push an update.

Making lemonade from lemons since 2015.

Re: AUR files failing validity check

It's pretty simple. The PKGBUILD contains the Checksum '70cda094350ff39796024c3300a5e006'. The actual checksum of the provided .desktop-File is '7b3da82d89609ef534490a6bbf54b2e5'. Either the package maintainer forgot to commit and push the new PKGBUILD, or the correct version of the tidal-hifi.desktop-file.

So to be clear: all I have to do is alter the checksum in the downloaded PKGBUILD, and it'll work?

Re: AUR files failing validity check

you can also set it to skip so it'll get ignored

Re: AUR files failing validity check

I wrote a comment on the package site. The package maintainer forgot to commit the new .desktop file (as @WorMzy said before). He will add the new file and you'll get that with the next update.
