So my laptop is having issues after about a week to 10 days of uptime. The issue that happens is that the GUI becomes incredibly sluggish to the point where my mouse pointed takes 2-3 seconds to show movement and everything else is just as delayed.
I am able to open up terminal and run different commands to get some outputs, and worst comes to worst I can pipe the outputs to a different file for later review. I have noticed that some apps are using a lot of CPU during those times (last time Vivaldi and kworker were up near 100%). I killed those two with the 'killall -s KILL <process_name>' command, but the system showed no improvement. Reboots resolve the issue, but I would like eliminate the issue completely if possible.
All that having been said, are there some recommended commands, logs, etc... That it would behoove me to pull while the issue is occurring that may point to the root problem or would at least be potentially helpful to diagnose the issue?
Thanks.
