Hello!
Recently I've started having issues with Bluetooth on my laptop. I tried connecting my headset: Edifier W800BT Plus and it took a really long time before it got connected but then, after like 10–20 seconds it would disconnect. I'm using bluetui for managing my BT devices and sometimes when I unpaired the headset and try scanning for it, the last letter of the device name would be missing, and it wouldn't even connect. Sometimes tho the sound would be actually outputted through the headset, but it would be heavily distorted and muffled.
I didn't have this issue before and what's interesting, I didn't even upgrade sound and Bluetooth related packages.
As I said in the title, I'm dual booting arch with Windows 11 and I have a pretty similar issue, but on the other hand, the headset won't even connect, even my wireless keyboard. Also, what's interesting, my phone actually would with no problems.
Additionally, I need to point out that as my WM I use sway. Why am I telling you this? I had some issues with it before when I tried for example changing the keyboard layout, only to discover after nearly two hours, that it's managed by the compositor.

Does https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Dual_b … ibernation help?
Also which packages did you upgrade before the issues started appearing?

I have hibernation already disabled.
Also which packages did you upgrade before the issues started appearing?
None, as I said before, I didn't even update the system, also I've looked at /var/log/pacman.log for any updated packages but everything says that it's just installed. none were updated. Also tired reinstalling bluez alsa and pulseaudio related packages, didin't help.

Does using the linux-lts kernel help?
Also just leaving this here as it sounds similar to https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=299727
Offline
Nah, everything seems to be the same even tried using the linux-zen kernel like that guy suggested, didn't help
Offline
Did you double check whether hibernation is "already disabled" ? Windows has a tendency to reactivate that on updates.

I have disabled updates and yes, I even checked that once more, hibernation is disabled

Tbh I'm planning on reinstalling arch so maybe that could help ? I will let you know

It shouldn't help... Reinstalling to get into the same state you used to be in will simply get you in the same state you used to be in.
FWIW since the issue apparently happens on Windows as well... is another device the headset can pair with. nearby? Might it connect to your phone over the computer? Make sure "competing" BT sources that would also connect to the headset are not trying to connect to it at the same time.

I found the issue, Turns out that my wifi adapter is also a Bluetooth adapter. One of the antennas disconnected. Thanks everybody for help!

That's also often the cause of stuff like this indeed -- I'd notice this first on lack of wifi though, unless you don't use that.
In any case please mark as [SOLVED] by editing the title in your first post, maybe shorten it a bit and make it actually descriptive towards the final culprit.
