Mic volume in TS

Hello,
I have onboard intel soundcard and when i try to use my mic in ts everyone saying that they don't hear me,
the volume is really low.
In alsamixer i put the mic volume all the way up and from some reason i couldn't find mic boost so i think thats the problem
but i have no mic boost in alsamixer :\

I use the front mic jacks.

Re: Mic volume in TS

My sound card is also using the snd_hda_intel driver and I'm having a lot of trouble with my mic too (see http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=29728).  When it did work the mic sliders were all down to nothing.
Is this a flaw with the driver, or am I missing something?

Re: Mic volume in TS

maybe not, i dunno.
for me (in gnome(voluem manager)) and in ossxmixer. the mic volume is pretty much uselesss, asit just makes it pick up more noise.
i have my mic volume set to 0, with teh mic still enabled for record, no output(may cause the echo effect.)
i find that if you simply adjust the input gain, it does what is expected.
