Running solaar without root

Hello,

I'm trying to get the current battery level of my master mx 3 mouse to show up somewhere. Solaar can apparently help. However, I can't run it as my own user. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Logite … g_Receiver tells me to add my user to plugdev and run "udevadm control --reload-rules" I've done that, but still nothing. If I run it with `sudo solaar` I see my mouse. So it's a permission issue. What am I missing?

Re: Running solaar without root

Turns out restarting it worked. Apparently just logging out from gnome is not enough it uses uaccess to give users access to this and I think only logind sets things up (gdm supposendly doesn't). Moreover, you can only use the the plugdev group  if you uncomment a line in /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/42-logitech-unify-permissions.rules.
