Make KDE wallet unlock at login with a VNC session?

Hello,

I've created a new, fresh install of Arch for my work computer. I have opted to login to it via VNC to minimize the number of peripherals and monitors on my workstation, it uses KDE/X11.

When logging in via VNC (tried both TigerVNC and ThinLinc) I get a password prompt "The application 'kded6' has requested to open the wallet 'kdewallet'. Please enter the password for this wallet below.". A password prompt also appears when connecting to a WiFi, installing flatpaks via Discover, and I believe a couple of other times, mostly relating to "org.freedesktop.*". None of this happens when I'm logging in to the machine directly via SDDM (kwallet-pam is installed). In both cases I am logging in to the same user (confirmed with whoami). When logging in to the machine directly I make sure to disable all VNC services and enable sddm.service.

I am ASSUMING (not sure) that the issue lies somewhere with polkit? The KDE Wallet wiki page mentions that PAM config has to be set up for most greeters (excluding SDDM). Is this what I have to do? Modify the PAM config so that ThinLinc sessions unlock the wallet at login? And if so, how do I go about that?

Thank you in advance! smile
