(Solved) Chromebook Keyboard backlight issues

I recently bought a Lenovo Thinkpad C14 Chromebook, intending to try and install something other than Chrome OS. Everything seems to work for the most part, but I'm completely unable to change, dim, or turn off the backlight on the keyboard, not even when putting it to sleep.

I've attempted to edit the 'brightness' file in /sys/class/leds/chromeos::kbd_backlight/brightness, but it doesn't seem to affect anything.

I've also tried `xset -led 3`, and it doesn't do anything.

If it helps, my kernel version is 6.11.2-arch1-1

Re: (Solved) Chromebook Keyboard backlight issues

I would like to add that I'm using KDE plasma, and that when NOT logged in, the keyboard's backlight turns off without issue.

Re: (Solved) Chromebook Keyboard backlight issues

Hey, I would like to provide an update, as I've solved it on my own.

For one, installing Gnome (Don't even have to use it) fixed the issue. The system does NOT sleep. No matter what. I can't make it sleep.
