Hi all,
When finally, I managed to configure my laptop so I have two loader options one for when I wish to use VFIO passtrough for my NVIDIA GPU and one for most cases where it works as a hybrid gpu system. Then I've updated first to 6.11 kernel and my regular linux boot started having black screen and everything became unresponsive. The tried to update to 560 hoping it will solve it, but it didn't. Later I discovered to add nvidia_drm.fbdev=1 to the kernel parameters and at least the I can now start with selecting the regular linux loader, but as soon as I plug in the external screen via DP it freezez. If I try HDMI the only difference is that the mouse is moving, but nothing else works on the desktop, nor can I go into console mode and reboot it. So I have to hard reset. If I use the linux_vfio loader, it works and if I start the VM I can use the external monitor for that system and guest recognises the NVDIA GPU and Intel GPU works for the host.
I've tried rolling back on driver 555, kernel 6.10, but it didn't work, I also tried LTS kernel but made no difference.
Apologies for the long winded post. Any help would be much appreciated.
