Hi all, I have a Lenovo P16s Gen 1, with AMD CPU, and GPU. I've been running Arch+Sway on it flawlessly for several months. The laptop is connected to a USB-C (Thunderbolt?) dock, to which in turn I have a variety of peripherals connected. Among the connected peripherals are an Acer G276HL 1080 monitor, and a Lenovo L28u-35 4k monitor. This morning, when I got to work, and plugged my dock in, everything seems extremely laggy. Through trial and error, I narrowed it down to the Lenovo L28u-35 monitor. with that plugged, and sway running, mouse input and scrolling are jumpy and laggy, to the point of unusable. It is worst when a window on that monitor is focused, but anytime that monitor is connected, whether via HDMI or DP, there is noticeable lag. If I unplug that monitor, the lag immediately goes away. It also seems to go away if Sway is not running, but since without Sway, I have no GUI, so no mouse, it is hard to quantify. Htop shows all 16 cores, and my ram usage well below 25%, so it doesn't seem like it is a resource issue. I am at a loss to figure out/fix this. Nothing in the journal seems relevant, but I am happy to post/share any info that would be helpful. Any troubleshooting steps, or ideas on where to go from here are very welcome. Thanks in advance!!

Also, Googling this issue brings up a lot of stuff related to NVIDIA, but there are no NVIDIA components on this system at all. I read through numerous of those threads just in case, but they were mostly related to NVIDIA drivers.
Also, plugging or unplugging the Acer monitor has no effect whatsoever.

Does anyone have any ideas on where to start diagnosing this? I'm getting a little desperate...

ok, additional information, which I need to further investigate.
A. The same thing happens when I connect to my coworkers setup. He has the same dock, and two of the Lenovo L28u-35 monitors.
B. Plugging the monitor directly into the HDMI port on my laptop does not cause the lag.
C. Even if I also plug the dock into the laptop, with the monitor plugged into the HDMI port on the laptop, the issue still not not occur.
So my latest conclusion is that this issue is specific to the combination of the dock, and the monitor. I am going to go check for any firmware updates for the dock, and pursue any related avenues of investigation, and will report my findings here.
