Blurry fonts

This happens in all web browsers used. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Blurry fonts

What do you mean, non of those fonts look blurry to me. If you have an LCD monitor try its "auto" button, on mine this sets up the fine and coarse options, which if not setup correctly can lead to blurriness.

Re: Blurry fonts

You should play a little with font antialiasing in font settings in kcontrol under KDE or gconf under Gnome (or other window manager control panel).

Re: Blurry fonts

It looks like your fonts aren't being anti-aliased at all!

It's funny because some people think fonts look blurrier when anti-aliased. tongue I prefer the anti-aliased look, personally.

If you're on KDE, check kcontrol->Appearance & Themes->Fonts to see if anti-aliasing is enabled.

Re: Blurry fonts

Your fonts look very crisp and I see nothing wrong at all.

Auto doesn't seem to help in this case... the weird thing is this happens only on certain webpages.

The font in the webpage should appear as in that in kword but for some reason it's bold on some sections of each letter.

Does that webpage display normally on your computer? I'm on verdana as the normal font for webpages.

Thanks in advance!

Yeah things are looking good for me, I have anti-aliasing on and I'm using the new vista fonts at the moment, which are quite nice, corbel to be exact. I see what you mean now, though. Maybe it is a problem with the web browser rendering engine, I'm using firefox? Don't know what else to tell you.
