Can't change the Shell Appearance in Tweaks. Theme not changing.

Hello.
I switched to Linux a few days ago and it drives me nuts and Im feeling pretty dumb.
I thought the first and easiest thing to do in my first hours of Arch is to install a Theme.... I tried it for about 5hours and nothing seems to work properly.

So I'm currently trying to Install the WhiteSur Gtk Theme from gnome-look.org.

The first thing I did was to create the directory .themes in my /home/ directory.
Then I downloaded, extracted and pasted the file in the ~/.themes directory.
To be able to select the Shell Theme I installed the gnome-shell-extensions package (47.1-1) as well as gnome-tweaks (46.1-1)

pacman -S gnome-shell-extensions
pacman -S gnome-tweaks

After that I was able to Turn on the Switch in the ExtensionManager to enable the User-Themes.
But I am not able to open the Dropdown Menu for the Shell Themes in Tweaks.

I installed the official Arc-package from the Arch repo and I was able to select the Arc-Dark Shell Theme in the Dropdown menu, but nothing happens. Even after a reboot. I install some other Extensions to check if the extensions manager is working.
I hope someone can help me... Thank you.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GTK#GTK_3_and_GTK_4
See the note, you'll have to jump through several hoops to make gtk4 not use adwaita.
Also brace yourself because the gnome trajectory is to force a look upon you and I'll not be surprised if custom themes will become completely unsupported in the near future.
