[Solved] Package updates

Relatively new to the linux world. I noticed that I get dell-smbios errors on my system (alienware laptop). I'm also not able to use lm_sensors because it isn't able to control the fans.

Searching, I noticed this from ubuntu

https://www.ubuntuupdates.org/package/c … x-oem-6.11

specifically this part
Dell Alienware sysytem reports errors of dell_wmi_sysman and dell_smbios in
    demsg (LP: #2084808)
    - platform/x86: dell-sysman: add support for alienware products

Is this a fix that comes to all 6.11 kernels or only specific to ubuntu?

I noticed that I get a super I/O unknown error of 0x2011, when I probed it, It came back as a ast2400 device. Not sure if I'm headed the right direction.

Thanks
