Sound does not work as intended on Huawei Matebook 16s

Hello everyone,

I have very recently bought a Huawei laptop and decided to install Arch Linux for the first time. Previously, I have used some Linux servers but this is my first time with a laptop. As mentioned in the title, I can get sound to work but it does not work as intended (I think). I am using PipeWire and have tried multiple different solutions none of which worked for me.

So, here is the behavior I am observing:

- On each reboot, the headphones output in alsamixer is muted.
- Laptop's embedded speakers are recognized as headphones and therefore, after each reboot, I have to manually unmute that channel.
- The volume up/down keys using the function key modifies the speaker output inside alsamixer. So, even if I manually unmute after each reboot, I am not able to control the volume with the system volume settings.
- This behavior is not seen when connecting an external speaker through the headphone jack or my bluetooth headset. Each get correctly recognized as their correct category and the volume buttons work as intended.

I have been having trouble with this for a while now and have decided to ask here for help.

I went through many different suggestions. I should add that I am a newbie when it comes to setting up sound so, I may have missed some points but links to some of the solutions I have tried are as follows:

I would really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
