Bluetooth Mouse working with one laptop but not with another one

Hello,

I have a bluetooth mouse (Tecknet BM308) which works since years on my 5 years old Precision Laptop. On my (relatively new) Latitude 7430 on the other hand, I cannot get it to work. In the GUI for the bluetooth manager on XFCE (bluemen applet), the device is shown and connected as pointing device. However, I cannot move cursor or use the buttons.

With different headset and audio devices I never had a problem on this machine.

Any suggestions, how to tackle that problem?

Thanks in advance.

Have a look at https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Blueto … leshooting

Generally, what has systemctl atatus and journalctl -u have to say about the bt service?

More specifically, your mouse supports Bt 3.0 and 5.0, maybe there is miscommunication.

I know nothing about xfce, is there perhaps a control panel, where one can turn on and off input devices and its simply turned off?
