Problems with colord & colormgr get-devices

Hello,

i have Problems with colormgr get-devices. I can not see a display in the list - only printers

my System: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics, xfce, x11 with lightdm, Display LG 43BN70U

what is wrong? why i can not see any display in the output of colormgr get-devices

Printers can also use color profiles, so seeing them in the output is normal .

Did you install ICC profiles for your displays ?


Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Yes, the printers in the list are OK. But no display is listed. Why?

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/ICC_profiles#xiccd This is a good link. xiccd was not running on my system. After starting this deamon, my display is listed in the output of colormgr get-devices

colord is designed by Gnome and only supported out of the box by Gnome & KDE.


Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
