Hello,
So recently my system has been randomly freezing when I close the lid to suspend, especially when I have multiple applications open. I suspect it has to do with hybrid sleep, but it still happens even after disabling it (only masked the service) - unless I have to change something else, not sure. I'm sort of stumped and I don't see anything meaningful in the logs, any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

A couple background questions. What desktop environment do you use. Some of them have their own logic for this.
For the hybrid sleep, are you using a swap partition or a swap file? How big are they and how big is your RAM?
Have you an Nvidia GPU?
I assume you have to reboot after this. Please post the output of
journalctl -b | curl -F 'file=@-' 0x0.st
That output will be a link to a pastebin that contains the full output of the journal from your previous boot.
