And what did it update?

So mostly haskell
mesa-wise
[2025-01-24T22:25:00+0200] [ALPM] upgraded llvm-libs (18.1.8-5 -> 19.1.7-1)
[2025-01-24T22:25:39+0200] [ALPM] upgraded llvm (18.1.8-5 -> 19.1.7-1)
is obviously huge.
sway depends on pango, but cairo wasn't updated, so that's less likely.
If it's not sway directly, there's certainly a bunch of GL clients in that list and last but not least, the wider amdgpu issue seems still to exist, see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 3#p2222503 (is this a vega chip? lspci?)

It was LLVM indeed.

I'm probably not allowed to do this, but wanted to throw my hat in the ring.
AMD Ryzen 5 2500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx ([AMD/ATI] Raven Ridge [Radeon Vega Series / Radeon Vega Mobile Series]) here. Kernel is 6.12.16.
Having the same issue on gentoo. With the newer kernel it says "amdgpu: Dumping IP State" before the freeze. Two monitors also.
I wrote about it here: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1 … ight-.html
I'm not asking for support 'cause I know this ain't a Gentoo forum. But it's nice to know I'm not alone in the Linux-verse with this issue.

Hi. You can find more information and fixes in this thread. I use Mesa packages by Lone_Wolf, and my operating system is stable. You can't use our packages, but you can compile it yourself.
