Remapping keyboard shortcut for deleting a line

I need some help with changing the global keyboard shortcuts in ArchLinux. Currently, to delete an entire line at once, I have to press Shift+Ctrl+BackSpace. I’d like to change this to LeftAlt+BackSpace instead. Can anyone guide me on how to do this?

What DE are you using? In KDE/Plasma 6 you may change keyboard shortcuts in system settings -> keyboard -> shortcuts

I use Hyprland (Wayland).

Sorry for not mentioning this in my first message.

Ok, Hyprland is a window manager actually. KDE or Gnome are desktop enviroment, fully customizable, but I don't know how Hyprland works or if it's got this features.

Re: Remapping keyboard shortcut for deleting a line

This is NOT! a global shortcut and depends on the client (toolkit), not on the desktop environment.
And it will also depend on the specific client whether you can configure the shortcut at all.

KDE might allow you to configure default shortcuts for KDE applications, but that won't do anything about some gtk text editor or terminal emulator.

=> what application(s) are you specifically talking about?

Mostly browsers and text editors like Obsidian

Re: Remapping keyboard shortcut for deleting a line

Not categories, specific clients.
Obsidian is an electron32 application (ie. chromium) and I'd not hold my breath to be able to configure anything about the https://help.obsidian.md/Editing+and+fo … +shortcuts (which btw. seems rather Ctrl+Shift+K)
