also tried with a new user - same issue - so the cause seems not be user specific but system wide
// update
I'll try to describe the issue best I can - although a screenshot would be better but such is denied by the security policy of my company.
Up front: It works in a clean install so I guess the issue isn't the ICA Client itself but rather some old config of my 2 year old setup dragged along since. It also works on windows without issues.
What's the issue: My work offers me to work from home which I also used for some time. In the office I have two monitors, at home three.
When I start the citrix session I have it setup so that it first opens as a window instead of going fullscreen right away. Depending on how wide I stretch the window citrix will auto-detect if I want one, two or all three screens.
Using only one screen works fine. But as soon as I stretch it across two screens when I switch to full screen then the display gets weird: The resolution is properly detected as 1920x1080 but instead of display 1 is shown full screen on monitor 1 and display 2 full screen on monitor 2 the video feed gets displayed in a letter box - so a full (1920x2)x1080 wide video feed is shown on both monitors. When I stretch it across all three screens this gets to (1920x3)x1080. Interestingly this seems to be a decoding issue of the incoming video feed - as the mouse pointer gets translated correctly - so if I want to interact with a windows on display 2 I have to move my mouse over on monitor 2. Sometimes, for brief moments, the presentation is correct - often when I hit the top middle control bar. But as soon as the control bar hides again the display is shown wrong again.
For the sake of test I booted into windows - no issue. I then setup a VM with multiple displays (took me a bit to figure that out but got it working) - also no issues.
As I use plasma6 both on my main system as well as I used it in the VM for test I doubt its plasma6 or the ica client itself - but rather some old config I drag along since I first setup the system back in november 2022.
I already removed the .ICAClient folder - but that wasn't it - problem persists.
Does anyone has a clue what old config could cause this issue?
Note: Issue happens on both X and wayland session while it was fine in the vm with both - so whatever config is causing this it seems to affect both session types.
It's not super critical - I'm in the office most time anyway and if I'm at home I can reboot into windows - but I would prefer to just use it with my main arch install.
Thanks in adavance.
