does openoffice calc have this functionality?
In MSoffice excel I can use series to have more than one data set plotted on a given axis. I tried doing this in openoffice but couldn't find this option. Is this possible, did I miss something? Does anyone have a solution for this, let me know if I need to explain this better? Thanks for the help.

Yes, you can do it. I did something like that to plot dates against user-load in a system.
It was awhile back and I remember it was convoluted. Use the help and query for "plotting data as charts"
