Using system file manager for WINE instead of explorer.

Hello.

I'd like to know how terrible an idea it is to take the steps required to use the system's file explorer instead WINE's explorer with WINE applications.

I am using yabridge to run windows plugins in a DAW, and sometimes these plugins require you to navigate your files to find audio samples and such.

The problem is, sometimes the plugin calls upon this weirdly cut down version of explorer that is just terrible to use. Instead of having a navigation bar on top and pinned locations on the left, it will just be able to do simple folder navigation. This is really painful when you have your sample library say on your home directory and you have to navigate to it every time from the plugins installed location in the WINE prefix. Often times, the plugin doesn't even have folder memory, so you have to do that every time you want to find a file.

Is it a good idea to make modifications to WINE to make it call for your system's file manager when an application asks for explorer.exe?

Thanks smile
