I am trying to install Arch on a VM. Reserved about 60gb for it. For some reason it is stuck in this lines, for at least 10 minutes. I installed arch many times, but its the first in a vm, so i dont know if there is any speciation config to do.

It's not returning any errors. What should i do?

"The systemd-coredump messages are normal but might indicate slow operations in the VM environment. Try adjusting your VM settings, ensuring compatibility between host and guest OSes, and increasing verbosity during boot to gather more information about what's happening during installation."
first off to set expectations Im beyond new still, (cause im stupid) and with my little amount of knowledge on my Arch Journey I do want to help cause I want to be helped too... so I am following the Golden rule.
Now I asked an Ai about it...(I know but its what I do) I assume you already checked the VM Configuration and compatibility... disk space allocation, media verification, and what I could gather is that it's hanging from a slow process.. what I would do is start again, may the iso your using has an error... idk more than that than what is given. GL tho
A snippet from the Ai's response.

Its is identifying less superblocks than it should. It is identifying 42k superblocks as i remember, and the minimum is like 83k i think. Idk why it is identifying less.

"Corrupted Superblocks: Some backup superblocks might be corrupted or overwritten, leading to undercounting.
Incorrect Detection Algorithm: The method used to detect superblocks might be outdated or incorrect for newer filesystem versions.
Partial Formatting: If the filesystem wasn't properly formatted or if the formatting process was interrupted, it could lead to missing superblocks.
Fragmentation: Over time, especially on older systems, superblocks might become fragmented or scattered across the disk.
Filesystem Type: Different filesystem types (like ext4, XFS, etc.) handle superblocks differently. Misidentification could occur if the wrong detection method is used.
VM-Specific Issues: Since you mentioned this is occurring in a VM, there might be VM-specific factors affecting superblock detection or filesystem integrity."
From what your saying my best guess based on the install hanging and the misidentification of superblocks leads me to VM Confirguration. Have you tried using a different VM software to replicate the issue? Thats what I would do.
Snippet above is from Ai's response.... the ai's based off of GPT just fyi

This sounds more like an incorrect install procedure.
What OS is the host running and what is the VM software ?
Are you following the offical installation guide, using archinstall or something else ?
As for chatgpt and other SI* bots : they suck at solving archlinux issues .

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

For the holidays, i am without my PC, and i am currently using my dad's notebook to study. It has a windows 11 installed. I wanted to do my usual setup for pentesting, which is installing arch and using black arch repositorie to get only the tools i needed.
To dont mess with my father's notebook, i installed oracle VM, and was trying to install arch on it. I followed the official guide of instalation, and as i said, this is far from the first time i am installing arch.
The error that i think was happening was due to the differences in file system from windows to arch. It was not correctly identifying the free superblocks on my computer.
I assigned 60gb to the installation, but it was identifying only like 15gb i think. I don't know to solve it for the context of VM.
To solve momentarily my problem, i downloaded kali on the VM. It worked, but it's just temporary.
Also, lol, you are registred to arch forum since 5 months before i was born

So the issues are with a virtualbox guest install, You did look at https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Virtua … as_a_guest ?
Was this while booting the iso or while executing commands ?
The forum software uses BB-code look at https://bbs.archlinux.org/help.php#bbcode
