https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Oracle_Database_client

Current version appears to be 23.x and the commit log doesn't list a version 19c .

If you are referring to an oracle DB server version : doubt anyone tried that on archlinux.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Re: How to install Oracle database 19c on arch linux?

One option would ba a docker image, oracle provides one for the oracle XE 21.x and 18.x and oracle free version 23.x
https://container-registry.oracle.com/o … se/express
https://container-registry.oracle.com/o … abase/free

Edit: They seem to support docker and podman, so choose what you prefer.

EDIT: or progandy' suggestion

It may be easier to install a VM with fedora/redhat and install oracle DB there.
forum thread about oracle 18c  may help.

Re: How to install Oracle database 19c on arch linux?

Another propagandy type suggestion:  If you insist on Oracle you might consider Oracle Linux.  It will do, right out of the box, most of what you'll want without you doing anything.  I have one of my servers running that.  If you're a student in a database class I'm sorry to say I'd recommend using Windows like everyone else.  A million years ago when I was doing that they'd burn a CD for you to take home and install it on your computer at home.  Pretty sure we have to be doing something more modern now.

Edit: Might want to forget everything I just said.  There may be an exchange of cash involved to use Oracle Linux.
