KDE Plasma Desktop background area is cut off on 2nd screen

Hello Arch Friends,

I am using KDE Plasma as my Desktop environment and I use 2 monitors. My Display Configuration is

display configuration

My problem is best described below in a picture:

what i see

I can use the whole space on the 2nd display if i move the program "windows" into it and maximize them. However often times when I bring up Steam in there, the upper section of steam including the menu bar and navigation points like Store, Library, Community, <Steam Nickname> are out of reach and in the blank space above, that i can't fetch with my cursor and fix it or move it around. Not cool.
And then there's this thing, where my display is cut off down by 33%, where the cut off section is filled with just black color. It is irritating to see.

What's the problem & solution?

Re: KDE Plasma Desktop background area is cut off on 2nd screen

I know it's been a while, but I just ran into the same problem. I am on x11.

I used

`xrandr`

Output:

DP-0 connected primary 1920x1080+0+202 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 598mm x 336mm

+0+202 was the issue here.

Resetting the position of the display fixed the issue:

xrandr --output DP-0 --pos 0x0

So for anybody running into the same problem; that's how I fixed it.

Not currently using KDE, but this sounds like a scaling issue, maybe try the same scale on both screens?
You can also move it (virtually) by dragging the second screen as it says in the top picture, I usually the second screen to below the primary.
