Hi all,
I have recently installed Arch. I have a "Corsair Harpoon RGB Pro" mouse (model RGP0074). Sometimes, when I scroll down, for whatever reason X11 receives an 'up scroll' event, and vice versa.
A few things:
1) When I run 'xinput test' and scroll down, I see mostly 'button press 5' events (scroll down), but there are some 'button press 4' events (scroll up) coming through.
2) I have tried a solution which I have seen in a couple of places (e.g. here), which is to replace libinput with evdev and use imwheel to capture scroll events. This had no effect for me.
3) I have tried the above with and without running ckb-next, which manages Corsair devices, from this AUR package.
I have considered that there could be a hardware issue here, but I have not had this problem on any other distro I have used on the same computer (most recently, Debian and Ubuntu).
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing this? Cheers.

You could load up a Debian live ISO to check for hardware issues.

I'll give it a go, but I'd be surprised given that I never noticed a problem on Debian or Ubuntu.

Ok, I just tested on an Ubuntu live ISO and my installed Ubuntu system... and it's broken there as well. Guess it must be a hardware issue that managed to appear at the exact same time I installed Arch ![]()
