Geforce 9600 GT on latest Arch Linux

I want to put a Geforce 9600 GT to my old PC, can i install the NVIDIA's latest proprietary driver for 9600 GT on Arch linux? I haven't found anything about this.

The NVIDIA wiki page spells this out.

Re: Geforce 9600 GT on latest Arch Linux

the 9600 GT is Tesla so it will work in theory with Arch Linux. To get the drivers for this GPU, they would not be managed by Arch but the AUR, you can get your drivers from there. Additionally its listed as unsupported (legacy) so if stuff breaks it would be on you, the driver for this is 340xx

From the Wiki;
NVIDIA no longer actively supports these cards and their drivers may not officially support the current Xorg version. It might be easier to use the nouveau driver; however, NVIDIA's legacy drivers are still available and might provide better 3D performance/stability.

Hope this helped
