grub-silent is outdated
i used to use this package grub-silent but i tried to use it today and found out it is outdated 
is there any chance it will get updated?

why don't you contact the package maintainer? it's their responsibility, and if they don't respond in a fashionable time, you submit a request to orphan the package

i checked and it didn't have any maintainers

ah apologies. the package was already orphaned. Well it won't be updated until someone adopts it and maintains it. It gets updated when it gets updated.
