Errors when installing/upgrading tuned and tuned-ppd

I ran a pacman -Syu update only to find that tuned and tuned-ppd stop on error:

error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
tuned: /usr/sbin exists in filesystem (owned by filesystem)
tuned-ppd: /usr/sbin exists in filesystem (owned by filesystem)
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

I already tried uninstalling tuned and tuned-ppd to do a fresh install, but to no avail.  Nothing I've searched online provides answers to this specific package on this issue.

Does it have to do with the fact that these directories are linked?  How do I circumvent that?

Any insights would be helpful.

Fixed! package version 2.25.0-3 installs without problems.
